Fourth grade scholars in Portia Senning's Richmond Elementary School class explored poetry (after a little dance break) by sharing out their own student-created pieces. Keeping a careful eye out for some common conventions that poets use they were able to learn from each other and continue to improve their own writing.

Julie Sloan met her scholars at the Indian Brook Conservation Area this morning for their first class of the day. As part of the Outdoor Adventure Class students explore outdoor activities such as paddle boarding, kayaking and leadership development through collaborative activities. This morning Julie reviewed some of the techniques associated with kayaking and students practiced in an amazing classroom.
