What is the WSCC team?

The WSCC is a team of educators and community members whose goals are to use the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child framework to:

  • Provide educational opportunities in all areas of the WSCC wheel
  • Review and provide recommended updates to policies based on research
  • Support, review and implement initiatives framed under the SBSAS (School-Based Substance Abuse Services), VSHEP (Vermont Sexual Health Education Program) and all areas included in our Wellness programs

How to support the work of the WSCC:

One of our goals this year is to provide educational opportunities inclusive of the areas outlined in the image above. This may include specific events, access to resources, information on the web or other methods of sharing. One way you can support the work of the WSCC is by attending WSCC hosted events. Being a part of the conversation important. Another way you can help is by providing WSCC representatives with feedback and ideas about the topics above. This information will support our work throughout the year and make a big difference for our scholars and families.

Currently the WSCC School Team is working its way through the entire School Health Index for Elementary and Middle/High School. The information from this process will help guide policy and guideline development in MMMUSD-CESU.

Upcoming Events

Our next WSCC hosted event will be on October 26, 2016 from 6:30-8:00 p.m at MMU,

How to Talk with your Teenager about Drugs and Alcohol. Please disregard any WSCC dates that were referenced last year. We will announce all new events and dates this year.

All schools in MMMUSD-CESU will be participating in a movement study in conjunction with the Vermont Department of Health. This work is based on the action plan set forth at the first community meeting of the WSCC last year. More information about this work will be shared throughout the year on website at
